Nick Pope

Nick’s aim in business is to enable and empower others to achieve the great things to which they aspire. He is an experienced business growth, start-up and leadership Coach, and workshop Facilitator. His strengths include keen analytical and evaluative skills, a creative ability to see beyond the obvious, and being able to communicate well across diverse scientific and commercial backgrounds.
As co-founder of BioInnov8r and CEO BioSpring Ltd, he applies 30+ years’ experience in the Bio/Pharma/MedTech industries, along with recent years’ of running “Evidence based entrepreneurship” / “lean-start up” programmes in the Lifesciences, and PhD (biochemistry), MBA and IMC; to assisting entrepreneurs and academics, with business start-up, business development, and innovation management. Typical activities include running workshops and accelerator programmes, business skills coaching, and opportunity identification and evaluation skills training.
Nick is also, a Mentor for Warwick Business School, and a delivery partner & Coach on BioCity Groups Innovation Engine accelerator programmes. He was recently a Coach for the Government’s Growth Accelerator scheme, a member of the Mobius Lifesciences’ Investment Panel, and a “Friendly Dragon” at NCTC’s Bio/Enviro-Entrepreneur Bootcamps. Previously, he co-founded two biotech start-ups, has been a Director or advisor to 8 start-up boards, and was Investment Director at Avlar Bioventures.
